Crazy Scraps

Crazy Scraps, a new, smallish (25 x 27") quilt top made out of the scraps on my work table. Making this cut down on my scrap pile by about half. Which is good, since the pile kept falling over onto my cutting mat. A dangerous situation when one is wielding the ever so sharp rotary cutter of doom.

Julie, I thought that I was totally bedazzled by the baggocrap piece...it's got spirals and color and texture and shiny stuff, all of which seduce me immediately. But then when I saw this one, I really enjoyed it. It made me smile and I like that. I love the vertical orientation and the pieced (fused?) swirling of it without actually using a swirl (which you know is one of my all time favorite symbols). This is really a lovely piece. Plus, I like that it's made out of leftovers. Leftovers are THE BEST.
